A New Chapter Begins for Our Community
After almost a year of dedication, dreams, and dozens of Saturdays filled with energy, goals, and friendship, we are incredibly proud to announce that Bissa is now officially an ASD β Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica β in Italy.
This recognition marks a huge milestone in our journey. What started as a simple initiative to bring people together through football has grown into a real movement β one made of stories, diversity, laughter, competition, and most of all, community.
β½ From a Simple Kickabout to a Weekly Ritual
In just under a year, more than 120 people have joined us on Saturdays to play in the BisSaturday League β our internal league where players compete individually, with teams changing every week. But those whoβve been there know: itβs about way more than just points and goals.
Every matchday is a celebration of connection. People from different countries, cultures, and languages show up not just to play, but to belong. Newcomers become friends. Teammates become family. Conversations continue after the final whistle, over drinks, dinners, and shared experiences.
ποΈ What Becoming an ASD Means
Being recognized as an ASD (Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica) gives Bissa a formal legal identity in Italy. That means:
- We can now officially organize sports activities under national and regional sports federations.
- Weβre eligible for public support, collaborations, and partnerships with other organizations.
- We can provide insurance coverage and structure for our members.
- And most importantly, weβve solidified the foundation to grow even further, while staying true to our mission.
This is not just paperwork β itβs a symbol of how far weβve come together. It gives Bissa the tools to become even more inclusive, more organized, and more impactful.
π More Than Football
Yes, we play football. But what Bissa offers is so much more:
- A space for cultural exchange, where people learn about each otherβs languages, stories, and traditions.
- A support system that helps newcomers feel welcomed in a new country.
- A growing community where values like respect, teamwork, and joy matter more than the scoreline.
Whether you’re chasing a ball, sharing a meal, or cheering from the sidelines, you’re part of something meaningful.
π¬ A Thank You to the Community
To everyone who has shown up β rain or shine, win or lose β thank you.
To those whoβve brought friends, invited strangers, helped set up the field, stayed after to clean up, and made someone feel at home β thank you.
This recognition as an ASD belongs to all of us.
Bissa is now official. But our spirit stays the same: more than football, always.
See you on Saturday. β½π₯
